Publication Ethics
Cendikia: Journal of Social Science, Law, and Education is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical principles and best practices in scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, are expected to uphold these ethical standards.
Duties of Authors
Authors are expected to:
- Submit original and unpublished work that is not under consideration by another journal.
- Ensure the accuracy, validity, and integrity of research data and findings.
- Properly acknowledge all sources through appropriate citations and references.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct.
- Participate actively in the peer-review process and provide revisions when required.
- Notify the editor promptly if significant errors are identified in their published work.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Ensuring a fair, objective, and unbiased review process.
- Preventing conflicts of interest and maintaining editorial independence.
- Taking appropriate action when ethical concerns or misconduct are suspected.
- Upholding the integrity of the academic record.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and review information.
- Provide professional recommendations to assist editorial decisions.
- Identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors.
- Report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns to the editors.
- Decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.
Ethical Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and undisclosed conflicts of interest.
The journal reserves the right to reject, retract, or correct published articles that violate publication ethics. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to comply with the ethical standards and publication policies of the journal.
